Please ensure to check over the entire product for defects before taking the protective film off, if any defects found please contact us to arrange a return. Once the protective film has been removed, we cannot restock the product as the acrylic can be easily scratched and damaged.

A quick reminder that it is illegal to install any pet door that will lead into an enclosed pool area.

INSTALL

When tightening the screws do not use a drill as clicking to hard can over tighten the screws causing them to crack the acrylic, use a 7mm ring spanner and a Phillips head screwdriver.
It is virtually impossible to overtighten the screws by hand as you can feel the resistance on the screws and see the acrylic pulling into each other.

Be cautious when tightening the screws as there is no returns from any cracks that occur from any drill hole from buyers/installers not exercising proper caution. When the locknut grips the screw and panel that is when you stop, you do not want to see the acrylic panels pulling into each other and flexing from being over tightened.

The best way to ensure the screw is tight enough flick the screw head and if no vibration on the screw its secure. These will never need retightening as they utilize nylon lock nuts.

INSTALL OPTIONS

If you do not have enough clearance with the normal setup, another option is to counter sink into the assembly panel and use counter sunk m4 stainless steel screws. Please note any drilling into our products voids the warranty.

The standard cut out size for the glass is provided on the website for all doors.

If you are installing the U-Cut option, the cut-out size varies depending on the type of frame. This will be determined by the amount the glass sits inside the frame or rebate.

Most standard aluminium windows usually have approx. 6mm “pocket” into the rubber either side from the visible frame whereas steel frames can usually be around 25mm into each side of the frame. Due to this being a difference of 12mm - 50mm we are unable to provide specific sizing for U-Cut doors and would be best measured by your glazier, the width of the cut-out will remain the same.

With the U-Cut option the bottom adapter bar will sit into the frame 10mm for structural integrity. A “General” size we recommend is to add 15mm to the height of the cut-out size provided on the website.  Please note this is a broad estimation as all frames are different and we are not liable for mismeasurement the best option would be to purchase the door and measure and confirm with your glazier.

We use M4 stainless steel machine screws, the standard sizing 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and we also have a custom sized 22mm which is optional for 5-6mm glass installs.

Due to manufacturers only selling standard sizing depending on the thickness of the glass or double-glazed unit the thread on the machine screw will often sit past the nylon locknut.

These can be left alone as they are not sharp, or if you must get clearance between sliding doors, you can use a flap disc on a grinder to grind these down. Please note be careful doing so as this is not covered by warranty and exercise caution not to knock the grinding disc into the acrylic as this will mark the acrylic.

Other designed pet doors have the same standard issues with the bolt thread length. Transact one of the most popular pet doors supplied and installed by Australian glaziers have the same issues with door clearance tolerances.

If you do not feel confident installing the door yourself, please leave this note with your glazier.

Warranty and return information are provided through our website so please retain your receipt as proof of purchase.
